Glove Lock QCP

The Glove Lock QCP is a "heavy duty" easy to mount, easy to use Dry Glove System. Glove Lock QCP is designed to perform - no matter the diving environment. However it is of great importance that you handle the system with precision when mounting it onto your drysuit as well as when you are donning and doffing the system. In this Glove Lock QCP FAQ section we have created a troubleshooting guide for issues that you might come across. If you have got hold of an already used system, please download the user manual.

Question
Leakage occur during dive. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Make sure that you have joined the rings (Glove Ring and Assembly Ring) together correctly and all around.
   You should only be able to see part of the edge of the bayonet. If the rings ar misaligned;
   disassemble and don again.
- Check for dirt and debris on all internal surfaces.
- Check the condition of the O-ring and that the O-ring is correctly mounted. (See 5.1 and 5.2 in the manual.)
- Check if the inner glove (liner) is stuck between the Glove Ring and Assembly Ring.

Question
The glove is not securely fastened in the oval Glove Ring and Spanner Ring assembly. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Make sure that you have used correct Spanner Ring. (Blue Spanner Ring for thick gloves, green Spanner Ring
for thin gloves, red Spanner Ring for ultra thin gloves, yellow Spanner ring for extremely thick gloves.)
- Look for creases or damages on the glove.

Question
It is difficult to turn the Lock and Release Ring when doffing or donning the system. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Lubricate the surface inside the Assembly Ring (with soft lubricant, for example SI TECH Lube Stick)
before use. (See 5.3 in the manual.)

Question
A grinding (squeaking) sound is heard when doffing or donning the system. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- Nothing is wrong! The Lock and Release Ring is made of rubber and seals against the Assembly Ring in
order to prevent dirt and debris on the O-ring.

Question
The "clicking" noise is not heard when donning the system. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- The bayonet has been worn out. You can still use the system without problem. The "clicking" noise is a
function to let the user know that the system is fully closed.
- The system may not be fully closed. Check the system. Make sure that you have joined the
rings (Glove Ring and Assembly Ring) together correctly and all around. You should only be able
to see part of the edge of the bayonet. If the rings ar misaligned; disassemble and don again.

Question
It is impossible to close the system. What to do?

Troubleshooting
- The wrist seal and the Spanner Ring have been pressed too far inside the Assembly Ring.
Use a thicker Spanner Ring (for thinner fabrics).
